Hostbun Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of services provided by Hostbun ("we," "us," or "Hostbun"), including shared hosting, WordPress hosting, VPS, domain registration, and related services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this AUP. We may amend this AUP at any time by posting a revised version on our website; continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

1. Lawful Purposes Only

You must use our services only for lawful purposes. Any activity that violates the laws of India or any applicable international laws, regulations, or treaties is strictly prohibited.

2. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited on all Hostbun services:

  • Hosting, distributing, or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that exploits, abuses, or harms minors. Hostbun maintains a zero-tolerance policy for such content, which will result in immediate suspension without notice, permanent termination, and reporting to law enforcement authorities and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or equivalent organizations.
  • Copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property infringement.
  • Illegal activities, including but not limited to phishing, fraud, scams, financial deception, or identity theft.
  • Distribution of malware, viruses, worms, trojans, ransomware, or exploit kits.
  • Unsolicited bulk communications (spam), including bulk email or SMS, use of purchased or scraped mailing lists, or operating open mail relays.
  • Network abuse, including DDoS attacks, port scanning, brute-force attempts, unauthorized access, or interference with other networks, systems, or users.
  • Cryptocurrency mining or other high-resource computational activities.
  • Excessive resource usage on shared or WordPress hosting that negatively impacts other customers, including excessive CPU, memory, disk I/O, or inode usage beyond fair-use limits.
  • Hosting large media files such as video streaming platforms, large download repositories, or file-sharing services on shared or WordPress hosting plans. Small images and short videos used as part of a website are permitted. This restriction does not apply to VPS plans.

Legal adult content is permitted, provided it complies with all applicable laws and does not include any prohibited content listed above.

3. Monitoring and Enforcement

Hostbun may, but is not obligated to, monitor services for compliance with this AUP. We reserve the right to take any of the following actions at our sole discretion:

  • Suspend or terminate services immediately and without notice for severe violations, including illegal content, CSAM, or network abuse.
  • Investigate complaints and cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies when required.
  • Terminate accounts for intentional or repeated violations, without refund, and impose a permanent ban on future services.

For non-severe violations, Hostbun may suspend the affected service and require corrective action within 24 hours through a support ticket.

4. Reporting Abuse

To report violations of this Acceptable Use Policy, please email abuse@hostbun.com with detailed information. Reports are reviewed promptly and appropriate action will be taken.

5. DMCA and Copyright Complaints

Hostbun respects the intellectual property rights of others. DMCA takedown notices and copyright complaints should be submitted to abuse@hostbun.com and must include all information required under applicable law. We will respond in accordance with Indian law and established procedures.
